Utah vs. Canada

This past weekend we went to a Utah Grizzlies hockey game with our friends Nate & Julie. We don't know the first thing about hockey, but luckily they are huge fans so they taught us about the game. The Grizzlies played a Canadian team and it just so happens that Nate & Julie are from Canada so it was fun to cheer for opposing teams. The rivalry ended with a big overtime victory for the Grizzlies. The game was a blast - complete with a few crowd pleasing fights!

Utah Jazz vs Denver Nuggets

My little brother Chris is getting married in a couple of weeks and for a last hurrah, we hit the road for Denver to catch the first Jazz game of the season. Our entourage consisted of Me, Chris, his buddies Isaiah, Jubal, and Jason, and our Dad!

David Locke from 1320 KFAN saw us, the few Jazz fans amid all of the Nuggets fans, and came up to our seats to talk to us!

The Tip-Off
The Jazz were killed by the Nuggets, but it was still super fun to be there for the first game of the season... hopefully the Jazz can pull together and have a decent season!

Take me out to the ballgame!

It's a tradition that every year for Father's Day, I (Heather) take my dad on a daddy-daughter date to a Salt Lake Bee's game! This summer has been crazy busy, so we just got around to planning it! This year we thought it would be fun to bring along our spouses, so James and my mom came with us! There is nothing quite like a ball game - hotdogs, cotton candy, crazy fans, and an excuse to wear giant foam fingers! We had a total blast singing during the 7th inning stretch and the Bee's even won the game!

It's Independence Day!

We started out our fun 4th of July festivites with a ReAL Salt Lake soccer game - ole! It was super fun and they even won the game and had awesome fireworks afterwards!

The next night, we had a BBQ with James' family which was full of yummy food and steet fireworks - always a classic!!!

Ready to Run!

I did it! I ran my first half marathon, 13.1 straight miles! It's crazy to think that just 6 months ago I couldn't even run for one mile and here I am, a long-distance runner! It rained for the entire race, but I survived. When I crossed that finish line, I burst into tears... I've never felt more proud of myself! I finished a HALF MARATHON!!! Yay!
