All About Heather

My Hobbies & Interests

I love reading, cooking, and scrapbooking. I love going to plays, concerts, and sporting events. I love building my music library, watching movies, and running. I also love planning parties... I think I was a party planner in another life! It's so much fun and is a great outlet for my creativity!

Interior Design is my passion! I love every aspect of it from shopping for real estate, to space planning and painting, and finally decorating! I love turning a blank canvas into a relaxing, comforting space. I also really love traveling. I have been to 45 out of the 50 states in the U.S. and have been to 5 other countries. I hope to visit each of the inhabited continents!

Heather... aka YodaRaNdOm ThInGs AbOuT mE:

A book I highly recommend is:

I can't name just one... I love the Harry Potter Series, the Hunger Games Series, Ender's Game, Pride & Prejudice, Persuasion, and the Twilight Series of course!!!

The music I listen to most is:

My own voice... I fear I lack the talent that James has, but that doesn't keep me from belting out a tune from time to time!

My favorite band is:

I love Wakey! Wakey! - the lead singer kinda reminds me of Grizzley Adams, but I love, love, love their music!

A movie I watch over and over is:

Step Up 1, 2, & 3 - Dance movies totally rock my socks! I danced when I was younger and I've still got the groove (in the privacy of my house, of course!)
A T.V. show I watch regularly is:

Just one??? Some of my fav's are: Survivor, Vampire Diaries, Glee, Pawn Stars, and The Biggest Loser!

My favorite quote is:

"Fill what is empty, empty what is full, and scratch where it itches" -Tallulah Bankhead

My favorite thing to buy is:

Movies!!! I've been collecting movies all my life and I have hundreds! I was in drama club all through high school and I thoroughly expected that I'd end up on the silver screen one day!

I drive a:

Black Nissan Rogue - I love my little SUV and hope it runs forever!

If I could afford anything at this moment I would buy:

A private jet to whisk me off on my many adventures around the world - a girl can dream, right?

If my house was burning down and I could only rescue three things, they would be:

James, my kitty, and some clothes - no one wants to be caught in a disaster in their underwear, right!

A smell that makes me pause is:

Cinnamon roasted nuts! When I was younger, I was in the Dicken's Festival acting company and they had cinnamon roasting nuts around every corner. To this day, when I smell them, it takes me back to my acting days!

My favorite sport to watch is:

Baseball - but in person, not on TV. There's nothing quite like eating ballpark hotdogs and cotton candy while singing "take me out to the ball game" during the 7th inning stretch! It is America's pastime, afterall!

The city I would most like to visit is:

Cairo, Egypt!!! I secretly wish that I was an archaelogist and could go on cool expeditions like Indiana Jones!

My favorite restaurant is:

Asian Star - I LOVE their pon pon pork! James took me there for dinner the night he proposed!

My favorite meal is:

PIZZA - there's a reason why it's the most common answer: it is YUMMY!!!

My earliest memory is:

Riding my blue and white Smurf tricycle down the street as the tassells and my hair blew in the breeze... I was only 3, yet I already knew how to travel in style!

My first paying job was:

A busgirl at my Dad's restaurant - I was only 10 years old and my Dad paid me a whopping $2 an hour - I was really rolling in the big bucks!

My best birthday was:

When I turned 16, my parents suprised me with a trip to San Francisco to see Phantom of the Opera! It was the coolest birthday ever!

My favorite dessert is:
Ice cream! My family is in the business of making ice cream so it's practicaly been a food group in my family my whole life! I love any flavor with chocolate in it!
The best vacation I ever had was:

My girlfriends and I toured Thailand for two weeks - it was a total culture shock, but we loved every minute of it! Crazy tuk-tuk drivers, squid on a stick sold by street vendors, and hundreds of people everywhere! It was truely amazing!

The best thing about being married is:

I have to agree with James on this one - the friendship! He is totally my BFF and I don't know what I'd do without him!

My favorite season is:

Winter! I know, I'm crazy right? I really love the snow. I even make James wake me up the first morning that it snows so that we can drink hot chocolate together.

My favorite song on my iPod right now is:

"Secrets" by One Republic. I just keep listening to it over and over again!

If I could be a contestant on any reality show it would be:

What Not To Wear! I hope that I'm not in need of makeover like some of the people on that show, but who wouldn't love a shopping spree and a complete makeover?

If I could live in another decade, it would be:

The 1920's! The Great Gatsby is another of my favorite books and I'd love to be a part of that world! Garden parties, dancing the charleston, flapper dresses, the whole nine yards!
